Our goal is to make health care easy and affordable to access.

Our participating clinics have doctors that can help you stay healthy and can also treat you when you are sick.

These health care providers and clinics are your first point of contact and the place you go when you need non-emergency medical care. They provide continuous care to help you meet your long-term health needs and can refer you to specialists if needed.

What is Montgomery Cares (MCares)?

The Montgomery Cares program provides essential medical services for adults who do not have insurance to help keep you healthy and support your well-being over the long term.

What do we offer?

•Primary care at a network of 11 partner health centers **

•Generic medication (Community Pharmacy)

•Vaccines

•Diabetic supplies / Cancer testing kits

•Brand name medication (Medbank)

•Limited specialty care (Project Access)

**MCares is not insurance, and it does not cover emergency room visits, hospital visits, or vision care. Some services may only be available at specific health centers.

You may qualify for Montgomery Cares if you are

•Age 18+

•Montgomery County resident

•Living at or below 250% Federal Poverty Level *

•Uninsured

How to apply for Montgomery Cares

•Apply at one of 11 participating primary care health centers

•Complete the Healthcare for the Uninsured application

•Bring proof of address and income, and a form of ID

•Renewal is required every year
