Generally, yes, depending upon your specific tax situation. The Primary Care Coalition is classified by the IRS as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and gifts made to PCC should be considered tax-deductible. Please note that some event tickets are not tax deductible; we will clearly label any amounts that are not tax-deductible before your purchase. Should you purchase BOTH a non-deductible ticket AND make a tax-deductible gift in the same transaction (ex. Purchasing a $50 event ticket and adding a $25 donation to it), we will clearly differentiate between deductible and non-deductible amounts on your receipt

We want to thank you as quickly as possible and ensure you have the documentation you need to claim any tax-deductible giving. Online donations (via credit card or Donate Stock) receive an immediate acknowledgment and tax receipt. We will mail acknowledgment letters with tax receipts within 5 days of receipt for gifts by mail. (Please note that staff are generally in the office to receive mail three days per week.) We will acknowledge planned gifts based on the preferences in your giving form.

We store donation records in a customer relationship management system (CRM) and on PCC’s HIPAA-compliant cloud network. We also store your contact information and preferences for acknowledgements and general communications. We may keep notes about interactions with you, like when we last reached out or which programs most interest you. We do not sell or share any of this information, and it is only available to PCC staff or volunteers who are directly involved in donation processing or acknowledgment.
